New Easter Tut

Tooshtoosh Happy Easter Tutorial

You will need:

Photo editing software- I used paint.net found HERE
Tube- from Tooshtoosh found HERE
* You MUST purchase a license to use this tube*
FTU Scrapkit- Happy Easter from Jenny's Designz found HERE
Mask- Mask 91 from Mistress V Signature Collections found HERE

Let's Get Started

Open a new 440 x 440 canvas (mine are sized for cafĂ©mom, you may choose a larger size).  This canvas will become your siggy.

Open a second canvas to use as your working canvas.

Open paper 6 in your working canvas by clicking “Layers” then “Import from file”.

Resize it to 600 x 600 by clicking “Image”, then “Resize”.

Apply mask by clicking “Effects”, “Object”, “Alpha Mask”.

Under the “Edit” tab, “Select All” then copy and paste into a new layer on your siggy canvas.  Then adjust the size to fit your canvas.

Delete the mask from your working canvas.

Set your primary color to R-223, G-241, B-187

Click “Layers”, then “Add New Layer”.  Click the Ellipse on the tool bar and set the brush width to 45.  Make sure it is set to “Draw Shape Outline”.  Draw an ellipse onto a new layer your canvas.  This will be the frame for your siggy, so you want it to be rather large.

Use the magic wand to select your ellipse, then click “Effects”, “Selection”, “Bevel Selection”.  Set the depth to 12, then click OK.

Click “Effects”, “Object”, “AA Assistant”.  Set the sharpness to 3, then click ok.

Click “Effects”, “Object”, “Drop Shadow”.  Play with the settings until you like what you see.

Click “Effects”, “Noise”,  “Add Noise”.  Again, play with the settings.  I used Intensity- 27, Color Saturation- 16, Coverage- 100

Copy and paste it into a new layer of your siggy canvas.  Adjust the size as needed.

Import paper 5 into your working canvas.  Resize it to 440 x 440.  Select, copy and paste it into your siggy canvas.  Move it behind your frame.  Using the magic wand on your frame layer, select the area inside the frame.  Go back to the paper 5 layer.  Click “Edit”, “Invert Selection”,  “Erase Selection”.

Double-click the paper 5 layer in the layers window and set the blend mode to Multiply.

Import your tube into your working canvas. (don’t forget to erase the ellipse from this canvas)

Use the Rectangle Select tool to select the tube, then copy and paste it into your siggy canvas.  Resize it and place it in front and to the side of the frame.

Import and place desired elements using the copy and paste procedure previously described.  I used:
  • ·         grass 2
  • ·         easter basket
  • ·         egg stick
  • ·         egg stick 2
  • ·         bow
  • ·         orchids
  • ·         Lillys

Add drop shadow to each layer as desired. (Click “Effects”, “Object”, “Drop Shadow”)  You will need to adjust the settings to your liking.

Add new layer.  Click the text tool in the tools window.  Chose a font, and color and type “Hoppy Easter”.  Outline as desired by clicking “Effects”, “Object”, “Outline Object”

Add new layer, then add your name in desired color and font.  I used AR Essence.  Outline- 4/5 127.162.106 Drop shadow- 1.1.1.1.141 black
