CRM Siggy

Cuddly Rigor Mortis Winter Siggy

You will need:

Photo editing software.  I used paint.net found HERE
Cuddly Rigor Mortis tube found HERE
**You MUST purchase a valid license to use this tube**
FTU Winter Frost Scrap kit from Daph's Scrappin' found HERE
Mask number 434 from Vixpsp found HERE

Let's Get Started!

  • Create a new canvas 440 x 440.  This is the canvas for your final product
  • In a separate canvas, open your paper of choice from the kit and apply a mask by going to "Effects", "Object", "Alpha Mask" and then browsing for your saved mask.
  • Crop and resize mask to 80% (Use the "Rotate/Zoom option under "Layers")
  • Copy and paste mask layer into your canvas
  • On your extra canvas, import another paper, than a frame in a separate layer (I used frame 2).
  • Make sure the frame is on a layer above the paper.
  • Using the "Ellipse" select tool, select an area that will fit the inside of your frame
  • Go to "Edit", then choose "Invert selection" and "Erase Selection".  The paper should now only be visible inside the frame.
  • Merge the two layers, then resize to 50%
  • Copy and paste the frame into your canvas
  • Open your tube, resize it to 50%, then copy and paste it into your canvas.
  • Add other desired elements following the same process (import, resize, copy and paste)
  • I used the following elements:
    • swag
    • spruse
    • berrybush
    • poinsettia 3
    • snowflakes 1 & 2
  • Add your name and outline it as you wish by going to "Effects", "Object", "Outline"
  • Add drop shadow to each layer, if desired, by going to "Effects", "Object", "Drop Shadow"
  •  Add your copyright info and license number
  •  Delete the background layer and save
    • I usually save it in pdn format in case I want to edit it later, then I save it in png format
Happy Tagging!

PTU Tut- PinUp Toons Pink Christmas

 You will need:

Photo editing software (I used paint.net)
PinUp Toons Tube available for purchase HERE.  You must have a proper license to use this tube.
FTU scrap kit by Karens Scraps and Graphics  available HERE and HERE  (this is a two part freebie)
Mask from Vix found HERE  (I used mask 018)

Let's Begin:

  • Create a new 440 x 440 canvas.  This is the size I use because I use my tags on Cafemom.  You may choose to make a slightly bigger canvas.
  • On another canvas import frame (element 15) and resize to 50%
  • Choose the background you would like for your mask and import it to your extra canvas.  Move it down until it's under the frame
  •  Apply the mask and resize it about 85%
  • Move and adjust it until the "solid" part of the mask is under the frame and the edges are sticking out around the frame.
  • Copy and paste the frame and mask into your 440 x 440 canvas
  • Add drop shadow to your frame.
  • Import tube into a separate canvas and resize to 65%
  • Copy and paste her into a new layer of your 440 x 440 canvas
  • To make her appear to be coming out of the frame, copy and paste her on the layer above the frame.  Then go back to the frame layer and, using your magic wand, select the area inside the frame.
  • Invert selection
  • Go to the tube layer and erase the parts of the tube you want to appear to be under the frame.
  • Import Christmas tree to your extra canvas and resize to 45%
  • Copy and paste into a new layer between the background and the frame.  Resize again if necessary
  • Add a new layer and use Rotate Text SUI to add your text (I used Alex Brush)
  • Outline the text as desired
  • Add drop shadow
  • In a new layer, add your name (I used Action is Wide and a foward diagonal fill)
  • Outline the name, then add noise and drop shadow
  • Add you copyright information with your license number
Thanks for stopping by and happy tagging!

PTU Tutorial: Thanksgiving Tooshtoosh Banner

For this tut, you will need:

  • Tube of choice:  I used Guch turkey from Tooshtoosh, found HERE
  • Kit of choice:  I used the PTU kit from S.G. Rowe Desgins, Autumn Jamboree, found HERE

Now let's get started:

  • Open a new image sized 230 x 580
  • Choose two papers from the kit and paste them into two separate layers.
    • I chose paper 3 for the bottom layer and paper 10 for the top layer
  • Change the opacity of the top layer to 200 and under the blending mode, click "Multiply".
  • Merge the top layer down.
  • Rename the merged layer "Background"
  • Decide what color you would like for a border and set it as your secondary color
  • Resize your canvas to 250 x 600.
    • The bottom layer should now be mostly white with your border color around the outside.
    • Rename the layer "Border".
    • Select the white part of the layer and erase it.
    • Move the border layer until it's on top on the background layer.
  •  Add noise to the border layer.
  • Add elements of choice.  I added:
    • Leaf 1- resized to 34%, then rotated 23 degrees
    • Leaf 3- resized to 45%, then rotated -10 degrees
    • Leaf 4- resized to 35%, then rotated -72 degrees
    • Flower 2- resized to 33%
    • Acorn- resized to 33%
  • Add your tube
    • I resized mine to 34%
  •  In new layers, add your greeting and signature in fonts of your choice.
  • Add drop shadow to all layers except the background layer.
  • Add your copyright information.
